The Dollar an Idea Program:
Highlands County’s Alternative Recreation Plan:
The Stoic Relief Foundation wants to build a Family Recreation Center in Highlands County. Statistics show that they tend to help lower crime rates by encouraging people to get involved in the community they live in. This Recreation Center will focus on higher levels of education and encouraging families to grow and serve their community. It will provide activities for those involved to become part of a better system for education and ultimately a better life for all. According to Neighbor Scout, an online publication, an overall lower education showed an increase of crime in most counties across Florida. According to CLRSearch.com, the Florida crime index is higher than the United States average crime Index. We believe we can improve Florida by setting up a Recreation Center locally that will give people a chance for better guidance for life making skills. We believe investing in people is investing in our future.
Material Goods and Services Donations Program:
We are currently in the process of working on other programs and more information will be available soon.
Donate a dollar and give an idea. Simple right! We've all said the words, "If I had a dollar for every....". And there is always something we'd do with the earnings from such. So we thought it would be a great idea and expand on it.. The idea behind this is to get everyone involved. We all live here and have ideas on how to fix problems or issues within our very own community. So for every idea, issue or concern, donate a dollar and we will use this donation to help solve our own community problems and concerns.
Please leave your valued ideas in the comments section of the blog or you can email them to us directly at thestoicrelieffoundation@gmail.com.
